Besides being warm and luminous  I do like the feeling of another time this painting gives me. A time when people who had money also had the time to spend it in their blossoming gardens drinking tea with friends and neighbours. Now people who have money have no spear time or if they do, they spend it making, even more, money.
However, those must have been challenging times  for deaf artist and a woman in  a period when art was reserved mostly for men.
Helen Galloway McNicoll (14 December 1879 – 27 June 1915) was a Canadian impressionist painter, her work captures women and children at work or play, often in the outdoors. She often painted in the company of her lifelong companion, British Impressionist Dorothea Sharp.
Some paintings may seem a bit naive from today's point of view, or they may seem vulnerable as well as relatable, but all that light, that is of most importance for all impressionists, can only cause tranquility in the viewer, if you let yourself surrender to Helen's gentle vision of life.

...blue...yellow...white....gold...pastels - I just love spring.
